The Keystone Group are delighted to announce that we will be supporting the Zero Carbon Hub’s ‘Nearer to Zero’ Conference on 8th July 2014.
The event, in collaboration with the City of Westminster, is an excellent opportunity to hear the latest information on the low and zero carbon agenda within a London setting, across residential, commercial and retrofit sectors. The eagerly awaited End of Term Report on the Performance Gap will be launched by Stephen Williams, Parliamentary under Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government.
Speakers at the event include Stephen Stone (Chief Executive, Crest Nicholson) and Nick Rogers (Director of Design, Taylor Wimpey), who will respond to the End of Term report. Furthermore, the conference will discuss key policies such as the Housing Standards Review and Allowable Solutions, which are both equally central to the successful implementation of the Zero Carbon policy from 2016. To complement this content and to reflect upon the unique challenges facing the city of London, the afternoon session will explore the retrofit agenda and tackling carbon emissions from commercial buildings.
Rob Pannell, Managing Director of the Zero Carbon Hub says:
Since 2008, the Zero Carbon Hub has been working with industry to assist the delivery of Zero Carbon homes from 2016. A key Hub project to raise awareness of this Zero Carbon ambition is the series of regional “Nearer to Zero” conferences, held across the UK over the past four years. The Hub is delighted that The Keystone Group is supporting our next conference, Nearer to Zero: Central London, on 8th July.
Every profession from the house building industry will be involved in the delivery of Zero Carbon homes. Manufacturers such as The Keystone Group have a crucial role to play if innovative solutions are to be found to deliver mainstream energy efficient homes. The Hub welcomes The Keystone Group’s involvement at the Nearer to Zero conference as their opportunity to display their new Lintel products and to confirm their support for delivering the Zero Carbon target.
The Nearer to Zero seminar will take place on Tuesday 8th July at the Royal Society, Central London.
