Chocolate Works
Corner Lintels, Windposts & Standard Lintels
The Chocolate Works is an award winning £50.0m housing project on a strategic site bounded by York Racecourse Conversation Area and the listed Terry’s of York chocolate manufacturers building, both intrinsic to the city’s rich history. The development by David Wilson Homes, starting in 2017 and completed in 2021 across two phases, provides 320 homes including apartments and family houses.
Chichester Free School
Double Gothic Arch Lintel
Vacated in 1994 and in a state of disrepair since a fire destroyed its chapel in 2009, the convent in Hunston required partial demolishing and refurbishment. IG’s gothic arch lintels played an important role in the restoring character to the original convent built in 1870 – now a central piece to the new Chichester Free School.
Elmsfield
Stainless Steel Plan Radius Lintel & Cantilever Corner Lintels
The £38.0m Elmsfield regeneration scheme, delivered by Mclaughlin & Harvey in partnership with Wokingham Borough Council and Wilson Bowden Developments, consists of 39 apartments and penthouses, a Premier Inn Hotel over 43,000sqft of 15 retail and commercial units as well as additional parking in the town centre of Wokingham. IG Lintels supplied bespoke special stainless steel plan radius lintels and cantilever corner lintels to ensure the most effective structural design solution for the mixed-use redevelopment.
McArthurGlen Designer Outlet
Full Arch Lintels
The £160.0 million McArthurGlen Cannock development is a joint venture with Aviva Investors, The Richardson Family and U+I with the vision of becoming one of the UK’s top designer outlets. Holder Mathias Architects contemporary design applied to traditional architectural forms required IG’s bespoke full arch lintels for high quality shopfronts and feature buildings.
Native Bankside
Brick Feature Arch Lintels
Native’s flagship boutique aparthotel in the bankside conservation area of Bear Gardens is an eight-storey scheme that involves the transformation of three of the five buildings located within the confines of the densely packed area. IG’s brick feature arch lintels feature on the front elevation of the former derelict 19th century Empire Warehouse that has been replaced and linked into a 75-room boutique aparthotel.
Aberavon Leisure Centre
Stainless Steel Windposts and Lintels
Neath Port Talbot Council’s £13.4 million purpose-built beachfront leisure complex sits on the iconic Aberavon seafront and replaces the former Afan Lido Centre previously destroyed by a fire. The new development restores facilities back to the community and enhances the vision of the council in regenerating the surrounding area.
St Wilfrid’s Hospice
Full Arch Lintel
The St Wilfrid’s Hospice is of real importance to the local community. Kier Construction were appointed as the principal contractor for the new £16.2 million state of the art development which will help shape end of life care for the people of West Sussex for years to come.
